This policy explains what the AutoBlog app collects when you connect it to your store on Zid or Shopify, how that data is used, and how it is protected.
1. What we collect
- Store connection data: access tokens, your store identifier and domain — used to authorise publishing to your blog. On Shopify these tokens are short-lived and refreshed automatically.
- Store data used for generation: your collections and products (name, link, image, price), used as source material and linked inside the articles.
- Subscription data: your plan and its status — from the Zid app store for Zid stores, or from Shopify billing for Shopify stores.
- View statistics: a per-article view count, de-duplicated by IP address for reporting only — visitors are never identified.
2. How we use it
- Generating articles that match your store's field and publishing them to your blog.
- Linking your products inside articles and showing you performance figures.
- Running your subscription and enforcing plan limits.
3. Third-party providers
- Google Gemini: AI text and image generation (we pay for this ourselves).
- Zid: connection, publishing, subscription and billing for Zid stores.
- Shopify: connection, publishing, subscription and billing for Shopify stores.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with outside parties for marketing.
4. Storage and security
Access tokens are stored encrypted and used only to operate the app's services. We follow reasonable measures to protect data against unauthorised access.
5. Your rights and control
- You can disconnect the app from your store at any time, after which we stop accessing your data.
- You can request deletion of the data we hold by contacting us.
- Published articles belong to your store and can be deleted from your blog at any time.
- Automatic store data deletion: when the app is uninstalled from Shopify we receive an official notification and delete your store's data on our side — articles, settings and view records — without you having to ask.
6. Cookies
We use only the operational cookies needed for signing in and remembering preferences. We do not use them for advertising or tracking.
